I was wondering if the nitrous 50 or 75 lb nitrous shot was worth getting. I have an automatic tranny - do you use it in 3rd gear with the overdrive locked out? How does it effect a supercharger?

I recommend you dont use N2O with your super charger, not over 30hp shot anyway.

Yes, too much cylinder pressure. You'll most likely blow a head gasket and that would be the best situation. Could do worse damage.

i just put on a NOS kit on my truck, which has a supercharger engine, and it works great! i got an extra 50 HP, and just last night i smoked a Dodge Viper in a race. i now can run a 9 second quarter mile, and my 0-60 is 4.9 seconds. as far as the gasket problems, dont worry about that, i have never blown any but my alternator was fried for no reason.

well i have a brand new Holley supercharger on a '98 lowered black dodge dakota. i have a sportsman fogger adjustable nos kit. my other mods include :
bed full of alpine subs
bed cover
edelbrock LT1 power package
dual exhaust w/ chrome tips
xm radio
neon inside and out
shaved cams/new headers
throttle body
imported intake manifold
new speed sport shifter
champion premium gold stock heads
pro flo air cleaner
k&n air filter
shaved door handles
remote start/keyless entry/alarm/gps navigation system
mirror tint all the way around
overall i have about $20,000 in mods on the truck. i love it!

Hey Joe first of all you should lie unless you know what your talking about. A viper does 0-60 in 3.9 seconds and your does 4.9, how could you beat it in the 1/4. Also any thing that does a 9 second 1/4 would do 0-60 in the bling of an eye.
I never heard of a LT1 pakage for a magnum motor.
And wow shaved cams i bet that thing runs great.
How do you have a K&N filter and a pro flow air filter at the same time.
He must be a ricer cus only they say NOS because they dont know it is nitrous oxide

hey pal dont make comments unless you know what you are talking about. first of all, i have two air filters in my ride, for a better air/fuel mixture, which means more hp!!!! my shaved cams work great and give me more raw power. lastly, this dodge viper was a piece of crap with some bad parts. thats how i beat it. and by the way, of course i know NOS is nitrous oxide; i was mentioning the specific brand i have. i also need to get some engine parts calibrated cuz after i hit about 70 my ride takes off like a rocket. so shut up until you know the facts pal. as for the lt1 package, well i guess you learn something new everyday. i have it on my ride.

I dont believe it. I should try to get my V6 to crank out 630 HP. I think that would be equivalent, right??? Also, why would you spend $20,000 on parts, when you can get a better engine for a lot less?
I really dont believe theres any way to make a 318 put out more than 400 horsepower. Tell me how, I would love to imitate the methods on my V6.

buy all those parts...thats how u get a ride like mine. if i got a new engine put in, sure, it would be a lot cheaper but i couldn't get the performance out of it like i do with all the individual mods.

that 0-60 speed is to lull the guy im racing into a false sense that he has won...then after i hit 60 my ride absolutely takes off like a rocket!!!!!!!
