Message: Depends on engine and tranny options. My 4.7 auto is probably rated at about 1600-1800 (as well as most are) but will flash to 2200+.

Message: Thats the speed the engine stalls out at. With a high stall converter it goes faster before it stalls. LOL If you hold your foot on the brake and put the gas pedal to the floor, the stall speed is where the engine quits gaining RPM. A high stall converter lets the engine get into the power band faster.

Message: There is a hydraulic clutch inside the converter. Fluid is fed through the center of the reaction shaft to apply the clutch when the computer tells it to. It only works in third gear and overdrive, and above thirty or fourty miles per hour. Not positive on the speed.

Message: with this locked converter. my truck when I let off the brake at a dead stop the truck surges. I was told by the dealership that its because of the locked converter. I was wondering if you guys truck do the same thing
