I have a 00 dakota with a 4.7, and i know that these trucks have alot of power but the transmission never seems to be completely sure what gear it wants to be in. Also, it has really sloppy upshifts especially during full throttle shifting. I was just wondering what you guys think if a hypertech programmer to sharpen the shifts a little more. I ask cuz i am planning on a mild supercharger for a spunky daily driver and if it is this sloppy without a supercharger, i can only imagine with the sc. I know that it isnt just my truck, cuz my company vehicle which is a 2004 and my friends 2002 are the exact same way.

I too have a 00 dak 4.7. I just purchesed the hypertech a couple of days ago. Yes, one of the first things I noticed was the auto shifting was much crisper. There no longer is that "bawg" inbetween shifts.

Since when did hypertech have a programmer for teh 4.7L? Do you mean superchips?
