Message: I dont know if there is a difference between them but... I have heard on the 4.7 that aftermarket headers only flow slightly more than the stock manifolds, and that you will gain hardly any power because of that.

Message: Shorty headers won't make that much difference at all IMHO (not without serious N/A mods), but a full length set of headers will make good power numbers. Unfortunately for the 4.7L world, I'm not spending any more time/money/effort getting them produced since there wasn't enough of a demand (only initial demand, and only 100-120 sets at most). Anyway, you need some more mods (cams, intake manifold, heads, valves, TB, porting/polishing, etc...)

Message: Yeah demon how much $$$?
I may be interested in a set later this year. Right now I've got some more cams coming and then I might get my PCM flashed later on.
May be other folks on here might want some too. We could spread the word on other forums for you also. What do ya think!!
Later...

Message: It'd be expensive as hell to make them a single unit at a time (which is why it ended up costing me so damn much money to do all the research for trying to get a full run started - plus, I actually took the time to dyno different designs). The total project cost me just over $12,000 in material, labor, time, dyno runs, tuning, other small parts...etc. I also ran into all kinds of BS from City Council members and other local county government officials on setting up a manufacturing facility (they have growth freeze, zoning issues, environmental issues...blah blah blah).
In short, one set of individual headers will cost somewhere between $1000-1200, and that's not worth the HP gains to the normal guy out there. A dead stock truck would net 12-15 RWHP. For people who have massive N/A mods, it would obviously be a whole lot more. With all the mods I've done to my truck (which won't even fit in my normal signature description) I gained 38 RWHP on the addition of the headers alone over my true dual exhaust system. It would be more with further refining, but I'm done spending money on it for now...
Anyway, didn't mean to turn this into a rant. Just figured I'd let you in on the details a bit.

Message: Hey Demon -
How much would a set of plans/drawings cost?
Someone with time on his hands, a TIG welder, and mandrel bent pipes in his garage would just love to make up a set.

I didn't realize there was a patent, or I would have known better than ask. I withdraw the question.

Maybe if he coughs up a patent number, It'll be a bit more believable. Maybe.
