LOL. I could always bring THIS out again....

Let's hook my near 8,000 Lb trailer to a Colorado and see if it can pull it down the road, yet alone up to Flagstaff from Phoenix!!!!!!

LOL@that idea! May as well tow it behind our minivan! I think it has close to the same torque as a Colorado!

The new 2005 245hp/283lb-ft Tacoma and the new 2005 265hp/284lb-ft Frontier are easily the equivalent of a 4.7L Dakota with 230hp/290lb-ft. Yes, even the frames on the new trucks are solid. Check out the weight on a 4x4 Club Cab - the Tacoma and Frontier are up around 4200 pounds just like a Dakota. While the Colorado and Ranger aren't really competition for the Dakota, the new imports certainly are!"

And not only that!! But it sure beats the American junk trucks like the Fagkota and Ford Rangeless. Well then again, at least you can travel off-road in you new Ranger unlike you new Fagkota!!

Not to mention better Fuel economy with the Tacoma and Frontier and not to mention that the ball joints don't even pop out after the warrenty expire while driving that Fagkota! Isn't that amazing!

So lead or stay in front of that V6 Dakota pulling a 12ft Uhaul while being passed by minivans pulling the same size Uhaul, haha!

What is he talking about?

The Taco and Frontier is NOT as big as a Dakota. A Dakota is everything as big as THEIR full sized TUNDRA and Titan. With actually a larger rear diff in a Dakota than a Titan. A Titan is one of the wimpiest built trucks as far as construction goes. Can't see a Frontier being STRONGER!

I think someone already plotted totque curves once that showed the Dakota V8 makes more power throughout almost the entire power band than a Taco or Frontier does peak.

You're right, he has no idea what he is talking about. All the times we've posted about how peak numbers can be manipulated; and what really matters is how much torque is available at lower revs (it is seriously lacking in the lesser cylindered competition to a 4.7 Dak), and some knucklehead will come back on here trying to claim these toys are easily equal. Not even using his usual screen name, I'm pretty sure that's an alias used by "STS", and I wouldn't be surprised if he was behind the recent spamming.

And the funniest thing, is that how many of them persist coming to a DODGE DAKOTA site to talk that crap. He's preaching to the wrong choir!

Ah, looks like yet another alias and a spoof from our pal STS. I see you figured out you could pull up info on us by clicking on the picture. Unlike you, I have nothing to hide and don't need the extra names. Why don't you register as a member if you like posting here so much ? Because the half dozen or so of names you use would cost too much ?

I sold for chevy when the Colarado came out, and I can't tell you how bad the dealer wanted my 03 QUAD CAB SLT on his lot. For looks, I thing the GM boys got a 9 on a 1-10 scale. Driving it reminds me of my 1991 B2600I MAZDA (yeah the import, not the RANGERS brother. In my 6 months selling there, only one Calorado rolled out of the parking lot (he got a sweet deal on it, maybe thats why it went.) The S10 was a good truck, if they would had tweeked with that truck a little, just a little, they would have hit success again. I hate to say the new generation Dakota is a miss also. I'm swaying more towards the Frontier, Nissan stepped it up a notch. Looks great, rides comfortable yet firm.
Doesn't remind of the importish feel while driving. Or maybe I should wait till the next Gen. Dakota comes out since the trucks not paid off. Hope they do a better job next Gen.

They better do something because right now the critics are saying its nothing but a little girl’s truck. They said Chevy has had plenty of time to get it right and hasn’t done it yet they need to give up on the midsized truck production.

Then so should Dodge and Ford because the Colorado out sells them both and isn't that the point to make a product to sell.
