Message: For the money, go with a Titan. Full sized, 300HP, tons of standard equipment and about the same cost(after incentives) as a Colorado or Dakota.

Message: I went to that website,
How pathetic, you know, my last truck was a Maxda B2200, stock, with a manual 5 spd. I guess I know how they must feel with that truck!!
I tried to get one to race me the other day on the freeway, just to see if they had anywhere near the same acceleration as my QC, If he was trying, I didn't think he was.

Message: MR info
I can say Dodge Ram SRT-10 500 horses. put that in your pipe and smoke it. sorry to say chevy dropped the ball to put an inline 5 in a truck and put it in the dakota class. only reason they put the LS2 motor in it was to try and boost sales.

Message: oh 500 hp but it still in the 13's, the GMC syclone 6 cylinder had that 14 years ago and the prototype turbo inline 5 tested a 13.2 quad cab that is. The only thing smoken is the SS colorado to the SRT-10 lol

Message: Man I think Mr. info is pretty stupid, do you think Chevy will actually do that, considering they do away with every cool car that they produce. Man I am so impressed with a Cobalt or a Colorado. I'll take my 02 cc R/T over one of those anyday just because when I hit the gas it feels like there's actually an engine there.

Message: "Chevy Colorado - your thoughts"
Well, I still have that gay azz commercial burned in my memory from when Chevy released the Colorado.
Some guy singing "I feel like a woman" and the other 3 guys in the truck crawling as far away a possible with out falling out of the truck,,,
If that's the way Chevy wants Colorado buyers to feel, I'm not buying one ;-P
IF Chevy didn't put a V8 in the S series trucks for Ummm,,, what,,, 20 years, what makes you think they are going to put one in the Colorado? A 350 would fit into the S-10's easily, but they never put it into production.

I was accellerating with a Tacoma Quad, and you should have seen their jaws drop,
when they saw my Nacra 6.0 catamaran on the trailer behind me.
It's a 20ft catamaran and with the trailer, gear box, etc, weighs about 1100lbs!!

But that Colorado is damn right U-G-L-Y!!!!
Especially in the ripped down version with the little tiny tires and hub caps I've seen!
How can anyone argue about the Colorado and it's ugliness???
It's like the red headed step child of the S-10 who got his a$$ beat with the ugly stick over and over and over!
the S-10 looked 5 times better!

I definitely don't wish I had a Colorado!!!!!!!!
That actually makes me LAUGH thinking of what it would be like to STEP DOWN to a Colorado. Sad.
Ugly AND I'd lose my lowing power.
I'd like to see that I5 pull my ATV's 100 MPH!!
I'd like to see a I5 Colorado pull my ATV's at 55 MPH up the hills I pull. HA HA. pathetic.

Message: There are two practical options coming up for the colorado SS. GMPP is currently working on a turbo setup for the inline 5. As we all know, when GMPP is working on something odds are halfway decent it will find its way to production (they were the ones who found out that you could stretch a LS1/LS2 block out to a 427, then they tossed it into a corvette). I think the turbo option is more realistic than putting a 6.0 LS2. I've heard that the colorado engine bay is nothing like the s10 it replaced (V8's fit relatively easily in a S10), and that it requires a hell of alot of work to make a v8 work in the colorado. That is just what I have heard. I kinda like the turbo idea, be a little different than just stuffing a v8 in a small/midsize truck. I love my dakota with a 4.7, but a little lowered colorado with a turbo I5 would be kinda cool. As long as it runs 15.0's or better. If it ends up like a dakota R/T and struggles to run low 15's i will be really disappointed.

Message: The problem with putting a turbo on the I5 is that the engine would be making more power, but, the rest of the drivetrain would be stressed. Put an extra 100HP on the drive train and you could see problems with the tranny, rearend, transfer case, cooling system, etc.
Daily driving wouldn't be a problem, but if you use the truck for towing I think you would see problems over the long run.
