Subject: 3.7L Performance Info?

Message:
So I just bought an 04 Dakota SXT not too long ago (went SXT v. SLT because I hate power windows/locks/etc for reasons we won't go into here) with the 3.7L V6. I know it's such a new truck, with a brand-new engine, that that after market won't be up to snuff yet. Still, anyone know of any companies working on parts for this engine yet?

I know when I had my S10 (yes, it was a 4.3L and yes, it could take my current truck) I worked with a number of companies/individuals that worked solely with that engine/model (4.3L and the S10, respectively).

Is there any companies out there like that for the Dakota, or do I need to start hounding Edelbrock to get up to snuff again? I only ask because I know most of those kinds of companies/businesses are largely word-of-mouth and this is the place I would expect to get the word from.

I have to say this but the 3.7L is superior to the 4.3 My friend has an ext cab 3.7 with 5 speed and he can tear up 4.3 5 speeds s10s and auto all day whether they are reg cab or ext cab. He pulled even with an SS s10 ( <---- Big Bad S10)

I not ragging on you but you will find that the 3.7 doesnt have low end torque but its got great high rpm power!

The only thing anyone makes for performance is a Cold Air Intake....thats about it. throw some 3.92s and suregrip along with an exhaust setup and you will love that truck so much more than the s10 anyday of the week.

Funny thing was is my friend went to a 3.7 from a 4.3 and he could tell that the 3.7 had more balls.
