Just wanted to let you know, that I went to a tech school and compared msd along with couple of other brands and MSD IS THE WAY TO GO!
Other brands (if I can remember) were:
accel
jeggs
can't remember the others, but if it was me I would go with MSD. Not currently using MSD In my
dak, but have it in a 67 camaro, (works wonders!)

I have a msd-6al in my car, works great never had a problem with it. Easy install and does the job.
If your truck requires a more powerfull ignition it's the way to go IMO, if not don't waste your money.

Simple answer....No. Nothing beats MSD for the money. Besides, they are the most proven systems around, if you ask me - name a company with more after market ignition systems on the road then MSD?

I have an MSd6AL in my truck. They have more name recognition than any of the others, but I do see a fair number of trucks with Mallory units as well. I bought mine because I got a good deal on a black Mopar branded unit on ebay - cheaper than a regular 6A. I have been happy with it ever since.
