Subject: Drop in vs. CAI IP: Logged
Message: Just outfitted my new (used) 02 QC 4x4 SLT+ with a set of flowmaster 50 catback, single in dual out. I know what many of you say about flowmaster, but I like it. Looks and sounds good. I was going to go with true duals but the shop talked me out of it (more $$, not much difference, if any, in power [which I find hard to believe]). But anyway,
Question is:
I have a K&N drop in, would a CAI (homebrew or otherwise) be an improvement? I've heard that the drop in is fine, and that I wouldn't get much more (if any) through a CAI. What're your thoughts? Thanks.

Message: Intake is already sucking in cold air from the wheel well area, and will pass all the air your engine needs. Store-bought CAI systems look good, but not necessary.
Go for the drop-in.
