Message: It depends on a couple of things. For a V6 they're about $365 and for a V8 they're about$490. Add another $200 (if you plan on exceeding 5500RPM) for the chromolly pushrods and guideplates. Theres a ton of great info for this upgrade in past posts, use search keywords like 1.7, rollers, or roller rockers. You might want to check out http://www.hughesengines.com for an alternative to crowers, theirs are aluminum though and available in 1.6 ratio only but they list for $279 a set and the folks there are great to talk to! I've got crower 1.7s for my 93 5.2 but I havn't put the engine back in the truck yet. Wish I'd discovered Hughes before I bought crowers. Don't get me wrong, I'm convinced the crowers are premium stuff but since my project involved a complete engine teardown I could've put a cam, rollers, springs etc. for what I've got invested in my crowers. I'm not a cheapskate but this kind of stuff adds up in a hurry! I did manage to figure out some alternative part numbers for the guidplates and pushrods. I don't hav'em handy but you'll find them if you do the search thing or email me.....hell make an offer for my crowers and maybe I'll get the Hughes stuff afterall! The crower prices I quoted came directly from their website and may be a little cheaper elsewhere but not much.
GOOD LUCK!
Chuck
