Subject: Shift Kit Benefits ?

Message:
I have a 97 CC 318 auto with 125K on it. Used amsoil fluids since 25,000.
I tow a 2000 pound trailer alot.

I just recently read posts about shift kits(transgo), and would like to know, from those of you that have shift kits, Is it worth the 300-400 bucks to have it installed? Better mileage?

I just put over 4000 buck into the truck, so I'll have to keep it for another 60,000 or so.

I wish the engine was in bad shape, so I could have KRC drop in a 408 stroker......not yet anyways

ha ha that's funny. i kind of wish my engine was in bad shape too. so i can try to stuff a hemi, or at least a krc or fastman build 4.7 206 lift, ported heads, angle valve job. but alas it's running fine.
benefits:
faster shifts may take 1/10 of quarter mile time. help tranny last longer, but more stress on ujoints and maybe rear too upon shifting. sorry no better mileage with that mod.
