Message: okay i know i don't know alot about trucks but i am not stupid. i bought my dakota this may it is a quad cab 2004 the second week i had it they had to replace the power steering and it was in two more times because of the crunching sound it was making then the malfunction light came on and stayed on they fixed that and right at the dealers the 4wd indicator light came on and they had to call to find out how to resolve that situation and i don't have a 4 wheel drive, they did something and the light was removed or whatever that was a week ago and today the check engine light came on and the temp qauge read hot so i turned it off and then on again and the light went out but there was no power to the engine so i put it in neutral (like may stepdad told me when i was younger and had a vapor lock) and reved it up and it missed so bad and very little power my truck has been back to the dealer 6 times and monday will be 7 i have contacted daimlerchrysler and a lemon law attorney and i just don't know why all these things are happening to a truck with 3,801 miles on it i bought it new and paid it off i am so stressed does anyone have any ideas what could be happening i don't think the techs even know what the h*ll their doing and of course here comes a female and they are gonna bull sh** me well they got the wrong female cuz i am so pissed off and totally inconvenienced

Message: yep, sounds like a lemon to me. by law, if the vehicle is determined to be a lemon, then the manufacturer is required at the option of the consumer to replace the vehicle with a comparable new vehicle or take the vehicle back and give the consumer a full or partial refund, give or take some service stuff and contracts signed that you can't get a refund for. as long as the problems were not caused by you, by your driving or use of it, then i think you have a vehicle that would be considered legally as a lemon, especially since the problems are in both the drive train and engine, and not a problem in just a certain area of the vehicle that could be fixed in one or two visits. definitely don't let them pull one on you and you get ripped for something that is not your fault. worse comes to worse, threaten and maybe even exercise legal action. that's some of what i would do. i will be the first to tell you that DC does not seem to care much for their customers satisfaction, they seem to concern themselves mostly with trying to outdo other manufacturers in the sales and marketing area. they promise alot and deliver little. i've had run-in's with them and they tend to be stubborn in their reply's. anyway, here's a website that you can use to research your state's lemon laws:
http://www.lemonlawamerica.com/state_laws/index.htm
hope this helps and good luck.
