The "dearly departed" 1997-2004 Regular Cab Daks had a turning circle diameter of just 35 feet! Check THIS trivia: a 2001-2005 Honda Civic is 35.4 feet! No wonder the RC owners at the Dakota R/T Nationals slalom event look like they are having so much fun...

That's why I got mine instead of a longer one. I need a agile truck than any club or quad can manage. Most trucks are just to long to be handy in the area I work mine in and out of. Plus the handling is much better anyway.

I live near Ktown, so I probably carve up the same roads as you, deerridge. Ever been on "The Dragon" (US 129 to Fontana Dam)? Diamler-Chrysler PVO introduced the Ram SRT-10 to the motoring press on that road.

There are several sites devoted to The Dragon; one of the best is www.dealsgap.com .

I'll look it up. I think the my little 4.7 RC is the next best thing to my Porsche days for handling. Mine's AWD and it can really motor around those curves. The handling package touched it off just fine too. I would never have believed any truck would drive like this. My farms just south of JOnesborough. I don't think there is a strait flat quarter mile around here. I'm just starting to rehab a 82 RX7 I've let sit for five years. It'll be fun to see if really does handle any better than my Dak.

"The Dragon" looks like a fun drive for sure. I picked up a horse right off 129 up at Ktown not long ago. Crooked roads and horse trailers are questionable at best.
