I have a 2000 dakota clubcab 4.7 V8
I hate the orininal "small rims and tires that came on it. I would like to buy aftermarket dakota R/T 17x9 rims. They are supposted to take 255/55/17 tires. My question what size tires can I put on my 17x9 dakota "R/T" rims without any problems such as rubbing, ect.

275/50 Nittos seem to be popular. I might go with that on my next set. Seems like they are the same price as the Goodyears, and much wider.

I have a 2001 CC and ordered the RT rims as well. I installed 275/55/17 Pirelli Scorpion Zeros on them. No problems at all, great looking all purpose tire. Rated on or near the top of the heap.
