Hi there, I have the above truck 2002 and was wondering if the superchip or like programmer will give me much increase in HP. It only comes with the auto so in 2WD it spins the rear but won't really lay down a smoke show which I would like...I am also doing the intake and exhaust this month but any other ideas would help...thanks

Hi,
I've got the same truck, but w/the AWD and LSD, so I don't have the spin issue (although I'd like to break all 4 loose!). Here's what I have installed w/a rating 1-5 (5=worth every penny) for value:
52mm Fastman Throttle Body - 2
Gibson Cat-Back Exhaust - 1 -more noise only?
Harland 1.7 Roller Rockers - 2
Homebrew cold air intake - on before I bought it.
JBA Headers - Not installed
B&G PCM M1 Flash - Requires Premium - 4.5
I tried a Superchips before I bought the B&G, and could feel it but wasn't worth it.
I've not done the intake as it's mainly a higher-rpm mod, or so I've read.

Hey wtdash.....what was your rating on the programer? You rated the B&G as 4.5 so worth the money but the programmer????? THe advantage being I can always set it back to stock anytime I want....or for better fuel milage.

it's ridiculous, like 44 hp, 40 ft pounds, and i hear it's not false claims like
"5hp from spacer"

Only the BG flash will do what you want, as far as I know it is the only one to disable the torque management system. Ie. why you can't spin the tires :)
