Subject: filter placement IS important IP: Logged
Message: after installing my homebrew intake in my 2nd dakota r/t with the same mods as my old truck, it just didnt seem as quick. the only thing i did different was turn the filter towards the hole where the stock air box feeds air from. so i turned the filter back forward so the filter would feed off air from the front of the truck and sure enough it help tremendously. so be careful where you place your filter

Message: Ya,,,I noticed that by simply pointing my air filter towards the front of the truck that it picked up 15.5HP........ Because all the hot under hood air won't go in the filter that way.
