Message: does anyone know if 1.7 crower roller rockers on a 5.2 help out your 1/4 mile time and by how much? Anyone who has these, I'd really like your input. Thanks!!!

Message: I can't give you a 1/4 time frame but I can say that I put them on and I can certainly tell a difference. Some folks say skip the guideplates and longer rods, I wish I had gone ahead and done them while I had the damn thing tore apart. It's a fair amount of work but it is possible to do.

Message: 1.7's are good for up to 24 horsepower. Go with the guideplates and pushrods. I have the 1.6 roller rockers, and I am happy with them. Because you are getting a little extra lift, you need to do the throttle body, and cat-back before the rockers. Won't see much of an increase if you don't

Message: I have a 97 slt with the 5.2 and was thinking about instaling crower roller rockers and heard that after they were instaled that i would be able to run my 5.2 up to 5500rps safely, is this true? Also kevin you mention that you would need to do the throttle body, are you talking about spacers?

Message: Yup, she should run into the 5000's no problem. Mine currently shift's at 5300 on the nose, HARD. No Throttle Body Spacer, waste of money for anything other than the 4.7... I believe he meant a Throttle Body, like a FlowMetrics...

Message: hey i was also wondering what ignition mods you have made. I was thinking just a stroger coil and new wires but what about more i heard the MSD box don't work well with the dakota? With the powerdyne do you notice much loss in mpg?

Message: I have the Blaster Coil, it works fine. I honestly saw the most difference from the 8.5 wires, since I haven't done the MSD ignition yet I dunno, but have heard good things.

Message: I bought a set of slightly used ones so I would just check out Crower direct or call Marty at KRCPerformance.com.
