I have a 3.9 with Superchips performance program, 180 TS, NGK cooler plugs, Airaid intake, FMS Injectors, Underdrive crank pulley, electric fan, 1.7 crower RR, V8 TB, IAT relocated, TPS adjusted to .7v,Magnaflow exhaust, JBA headers. I'm running 89 octane gas without detonation. Just wondering if advancing the timing 4 degs with the CPS mod would work or cause ping like crazy. Any body have similar setup? And would I benefit as well adjusting injector sync?

Everytime I hear this question I wonder if the timing on all similar engines are exactly alike or if it's more like the variation between different TPS. In other word, no one can answer the question for you, because no two engines respond the same. Do the mod and back off if you have to. Most likely the worst the will happen is you would have to run premium fuel at full advance.

Thanks for the responses I saw the timing advance mod awhile ago on KRC just wondering outcome. I guess I won't know till I try it. Does anybody know if the injector sync will help or is this an engine specific calibration as well?

Set at +12 with a snap-on scanner that will make the engine rev quicker and for a boost in hp.
