Subject: just installed injectors IP: Logged
Message: I just installed the FMS 19# injectors on my 02 4.7 QC AWD. I don't know if the factory injectors were getting stopped up (48,000 miles), or if these are that much better. It really added a lot more throttle response & midrange. Now instead of a push when I floor it, I get a shove. It could be the freshly ported TB finally getting recognized by the computer, but really who cares? I highly recommend this mod. Has anyone else had this kind'a improvement? How 'bout some dyno #'s.

Message: Picked them up from some guy on ebay. I paid $70 delivered. Well worth the money. I just did a search for 19# injectors, & picked the best looking set. These supposedly were pulled from a ford test engine that was only ran for 6 hrs with those injectors.

Message: I put FMS #19 om my 98CC, I have 116K. My stock injectors were buggered. I too got them from ebay for 46 bucks. I got the pintel kind not the disk designII. My truck is running great and for 46 bucks it was worth it.

Message: This is exactly what I got. I've seen written on here that the stock injectors only had 1 hole, but the ones I pulled had 2. Mine had no pintle, either in the stock or the new ones. Is this one of the differences between genII & genIII? On the fiveo page they said these things were rated at 19.8 lbs @ 43psi. Does the fact that we're pushing 49 psi change those #'s any?

Message: Hey all, just a sidebar to this post. Since I installed these new injectors, my idle has been dead steady at about 600 rpm. Before it would kind'a slow down to 400 & even lower for a few seconds at a time while sitting in traffic. I don't know how many others suffer from this affliction, but I think it's fixed.

Message: Thats weird because I emailed www.fivemotorsport.com awhile back and they told me 00-03 Dakota 4.7 were a 23lbs injectors and it even shows that on their website.

Message: My 2000 4.7 was running like dogsheeet and then eventually started pulling misfire codes on many cylinders. I finally swapped the injectors out with the fiveomotorsport deals.. I think I paid $240something. It's amazing how you get used to sagging performance over time. Once I swapped out the injectors it felt like I installed a supercharger.
By the way, I only had 45k miles on the truck. It just goes to show how stupid Dodge was to not incorporate a replaceable low-micron fuel filter. The amount of slag I was able to bang out of the top of the injector was OBSCENE!

Message: The ones that are listed as OE stock replacements for the 4.7: Bosch 0280155923
The ones I got were actually pink, but they must have changed stock in the last month.
