My dakota cc 4x4 with the 318 has awesome low end but nothing outta that first gear really. After 65 70 it really hits a brick wall. I was gonna take it to the track but uhh perhaps i need a few mods so i dont embarass my self. Has neone run a stock similar setup? if so id love to see the times. Im guessin 17.0.

if you wanna go fast, sell your 4x4 right now and get a 2wd. I
was in the same position as you and i didnt want to go through
the hassle of tading it in for a 2wd so i just starting modding it.
Mods for this truck are a waste of money, this truck is so god
damn heavy and you run into many problems trying to lower the
truck or change suspension.

How many miles Keith? Sounds like you need a tune up. I have a 99 5.2 4x4 CC and it runs like a striped a$$ ape!! I have no problems running strong well past 70mph. All I have done is autolite platinum plugs, new wires, rotor, and dist cap, and removed snorkel from airbox, and rubbe flap next to the radiator. Mine runs really good, definetly not a dog.

91k on it. Maybe its not too slow but i once ran a jeep cherokee 4.0 and just squeaked by. But then again i beat the tar out of it another time. I guess its all how she feels like running that day huh? (exact same 2k 4x4 launch against that cherokee)

15 flat with just a flowmaster on mine! (reg cab 5 speed 2wd 3.92 gears LSD)

bosses 97 318 sport ext cab 4/4 3.92 stock ran a 17.4 but it has 31" tires though
