Subject: 4.7 TB Installation Instructions IP: Logged
Message: A while back I found a really good instruction pdf file that gave a step by step with pictures on how to change the throttle body; however, when I printed it out, it only printed only 5 out of the 8 pages and I can't find that website again. The first page has F & B on it so I had to go somewhere through them to get it but I just can't find out where. If anyone has this instruction file or knows the link to it, could you post it for me?
Thanks,
Polk

Message: Now that I look at the instructions that I have, they are for the 5.9 TB. Does anyone know where this file is or know where I can get the instructions for the 4.7?
Thanks,
Jason

Message: Not trying to slam you, but I think the reason you're not getting any help here is that most of us who've done this didn't need instructions. Removing air box connection is pretty straight forward; then look at how the linkage is secured to remove it (don't force anything you can't figure out); then try to get a feel of how tight the fasteners that secure it are as you remove it so you don't over torque those fasteners as you replace it. The gasket is reusable, you'll feel it compress a bit as you re-install. Most of us probably aren't using a torque wrench for this, you get a feel for how much (or little) force is required after overpowering a few small fasteners, hopefully back in the days you were wrenching on a bicycle... If you get to a point where gasket isn't compressing any more, don't go any tighter !

Message: Okay,
Well, I figured it was pretty easy, I just like to know exactly what I am doing before I do something. I always worry that if I start a project and can't figure out how to finish it, then I'm in trouble without a truck to go anywhere. Thanks.
