Subject: Crank sensor location IP: Logged
Message: I have an 02' dakota r/t and I'm trying to locate the crank sensor
so I can advance the timing a bit. There is suposed to be (2) 1/2
inch bolts holding it in or somethng. I cant find anything, except
for what looks like a sensor about 3 inches to the left of the
distributer. But no bolts to hold it in, it threads in ..
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks Lee

Message: facing the engine, look down right behind the left cylinder. it bolts to the block and goes into the tranny bellhousing.

Message: You probably need to remove the passenger side
inner ( plastic ) fender to get at it or
maybe even to see it !
Check your email - I will send you
a adobe pdf file with pics.
