hey does anyone know the total weight of all the 4x4
components in a part time 4wd truck? Also, When engaged in
2wd is it completley 2wd like a 2wd truck or do i still have a little
drivetrain loss?

At www.dodge.com you can pull up weights and specifications on Dakotas. If you hurry, the 2004 AND 2005 info is on the site still. The math is up to you.

What parts are moving depends on the truck - trucks with lock out hubs don't have much loss, but we have some drag there on our Daks.
