Subject: No fuel test port???????
IP: Logged

Message:
The test port for "fuel pressure" is located on the driver side rail
correct? I looked on both rails, everywhere, i dont see the fuel
pressure test port anywhere! My dakota is a 97 5.2, im installing
a fuel pressure gauge and cant find the port. Does anyone know
of another place it could be? Or maybe an alternate location to
hook up my fuel pressure gauge?

Im wondering if the previous owner changed the rail on the
drivers side because it was damaged or something, and they
ended up putting two passenger side rails on....idk....thanks in
advance!

From my Haynes for the '97 model.

"Remove the cap from the fuel pressure test port (if equipped) on the fuel rail and attach a fuel pressure gauge. If the fuel rail is not equipped with a test port, disconnect the fuel line from the fuel rail and connect a fuel pressure gauge using a special adapter."
