Just swapped my 3.55 ring/pinion for 3.92 at the dealer. I originally went to a local and well respected independent who installed a Precision Gears 4.10. It had a slight decelleration whine from 45 down to 35. Not happy, he reinstalled the 3.55's and to the dealer I went. The dealer installed OEM 3.92's make the same noise/same speed range!!
No noise w/my 3.55's......Anyone out there experienced the same problem...I spent alot and I'm not happy!!!

I have an 02 4.7L QC with 3.55 gears and LSD that whines a little. It is slight but I can hera it. Usually I hear it around 40-50 mph and especially when I let off the gas. I know if you don't add the LSD additive it can whine. Make sure they put the additive in for the LSD.
