I just had a 390 stroker built and installed. Can anybody tell me about click coming from tranny when it kicked down, and also when I take off why it seems to bog out a little?

You should be looking at a 2800, or 3000 stall. Either will be ok for the street. A set of gears will help out also.
What made you deside to go with the 390 stroker??

I had the block already and the crank. I have a mopar PCM, but I think a Flash would be better. Any comments.

I had my trans rebuilt with parts from Hughes,www.hughesperformance.com. Very nice products. Possibly not as good as SMR but cheaper and I've had no problems with my trans. I now have 1500 miles and 25 1/8th mile runs on it(all 25 runs with 150 shot of nitrous). Not sure what trans you have but mines a A-500 and it's behind a 390c.i. motor.

for the rearend, go with an E-body 8 3/4 rear, just need to weld on new spring perches and shock mounts, i've done it, its a good fit
