Subject: K&N vs. Intense Performance IP: Logged
Message: I am thinking of buying a CAI for my 1998 Dodge Dakota 5.2L and was wondering which CAI will perform better (K&N FIPK or IntensePerformance CAI). They cost about the same so that isn't an issue but I am just wondering what will work better for me.
Thanks
Andrew

Message: I heard good things about both, I went with
K&N because they are a larger company and
have a little more research backing them, and
there intake looks a little more professional.
But im sure their both within a few ponies.

Message: Thanks for the help anyone have specific HP gains for either of the CAI. Not just from the website but from users actually doing Dyno tests.

Message: If you want more air flow try a larger filter not a smaller one that lets in a little dirt with the air.
Figure it out square inch wise.
Get a 3"x14" and get all the flow the motor can pump
and still keep the dirt out.
