 Subject: R/T vs SS Silverado

Did a little run with a Silverado SS Chevy truck yesterday. I was behind him and we are accelerating from about 70mph. Once I saw a puff of black smoke I knew he had gone wide open....by then he had pulled me 3 truck lengths. I couldn't make up any lost ground by then. I put the pedal to the floor and didn't lose any ground up to a 120mph...then he left off.
Those trucks are pretty fast. What do they have in them? Vette motor?

The silverado SS is a big peice of $hit, you must have a pretty slow truck not to spank one. they have a 2500 motor in a 1500, oh yeah with all-wheel drive. What do you have in your truck? 4 cylinder. Thats pretty crappy man if you get beat by one of those trucks

Hey Jag pretty slow R/T you must have as it must also have a Mopar performance PCM or a PCM flash to hit 120mph. The top speed is limited to 115 stock.

it's 118mph. The SS has 345HP and I'd like to see one go under 15sec in the qtr., with N2O maybe.

i spanked one from 2 trucks back in my 00 cc 4.7L all i have is exhaust and intake. 222rwhp/325rwtq. they are overpriced and overated!

the only reason he "beat you" is he got a small jump on you. i see those things run high 15s, so basically,the reason you didnt pull on him is youre only a little bit faster than him, and he got a head start. if you are significantly faster than someone who gets a jump on you, you will pull.
