Subject: higher compression valve springs?
IP: Logged

Message:
anyone have an idea where I can get better valve springs? I don't want to do a new cam yet, I cant have my truck down for that long, but I'll be doing a roller conversion soon, and wanted to swap out springs while I'm in there. I just want something that'll hold up to a higher rpm, and deal with nitrous ( eventually) I have a 01 R/T, and as I said, it'll be bottle fed, and I need to handle at max about 7000 RPM. If I have to buy a cam to do it, I guess I'll swallow my pride and get it, as eventually I'll be swapping my cam anyway, I just dont want it laying around getting any possible damage....
thanks.....

I can hook ya up with everything you need, checkout the Crower section on my page-- you won't find a stronger set of rockers, and all of the Crower stuff I sell has been run with NX--- I did it myself-- including the cam. It works.

Mopar performance P4876062 springs are good up to .600" lift. If you go with a higher lift cam and keep the stock heads the valve guides will have to be cut down or you will have interference problems.

Is there a way to test if it's hitting? Manually turn the engine? Will the covers not seat properly or is it so slight that it won't make a difference in that regard?
