Subject: 1998 Dak 5.2L manual IP: Logged
Message: I have a 1998 Dak with a 5.2 Liter. It's a manual and I have about 105K on it. Should I even try to mod it or should I just leave it alone and save my money? Does anyone have any suggestions. I am thinking about getting a CAI from intenseperformance.com and getting my comp programmed from Kennebell. Do these seem like smart mods or a waste of money? Thanks

Message: Intense Performance has decent stuff, I prefer the K&N FIPK myself. Just a good all around product (I do sell them to, gotta be honest).
For flashes, we've done a bunch of our Cam Cal's with a lot of happy customers. It was $489, now $449.
105K of hard miles or 105K of taking care of it? If it's been well maintained, then don't worry about it.

Message: The 105K has been mostly highway miles and regular oil changes. Why do you prefer the K and N seems like the intake doesn't go down into the fender and seems like it gets a lot of engine heat and how much horsepower do your flashes offer?

Message: The K&N provides consistent results, easy to install, backed up by a warranty. I've also used Intense Performance myself. John builds well engineered kits.
On the flashes, give Marty a call at our shop, 321-635-8866, and he can tell you more.
