Subject: Jet Performance Chip IP: Logged
Message: Does anyone have a 1998 Dakota with a 5.2L manual Trans.? I was looking for a jet performance chip and the part number off the website is #90002 but I have read that, that chip only fits 4.7L. Does anyone know what that is all about? And does anyone have any other suggestions for brands of performance chips?

Message: the jet chip is junk, had one for some time, if you want a
computer mod get the superchips unit you get 3 different
programs and you can remove your redline, top speed limiter
and change your tire size too and it works as a dtc also

Message: I had the Jet stage 2 module on my 91 back when it was still fuel injected (TBI). It seemed to help it out a lot. I've always heard though that the module on the (Magnum) MPI motors didn't do anything or even produced lower than stock performance. I also had problems with the Jet module but I sent it back to Jet and got a new one (3 times in 2 years). Those modules don't like getting wet. Well, that's my take on the JET modules.
