Subject: Nitrous + Supercharger (another1 4Bernd) IP: Logged
Message: Hey Bernd, getting ready to get a Vortech to go along with my NX kit. The Vortech is only a 5# boost out of the box, so was going to add about a 25-50 shot of nitrous with it. Question is, where did you put the nozzle when you were running both? Have any pics? Also, the Vortech site says it adds 89hp with only a 5# boost, so how much boost would I need for about 110-120hp? Running a 100 shot of nitrous now, and truck is just begging for more! Thanks again for all your help.

Message: Jeff,
Your best bet would be to use a nitrous plate underneath the throttle body. You would put the blower at risk if you just screw it into the intake tube as NX (or NOS) recommends.
Nick Kramer (11-Second V6) has a nitrous plate for sale: fastdodged@aol.com
The other item is to watch the timing and install some sort of timing retard system...just in case. Once you play with Nitrous and Super/Turbo Charging...you're really stressing the internals...don't forget to run decent fuel as well.

Message: Think I'll just go with more boost and sell the NX kit. Seems like more trouble than its worth, and pulleys are cheap. Thanks again.
