What makes you think you need to upgrade? How many pounds of boost? Will your PCM even allow more gas?

I just know that most people that run the powerdyne upgrade to 24 lb injectors, and I just figured I would go ahead and do it as well. I will be running about 8 psi.

There is a guy on dodgetrucks.org selling some 24# FMS injectors. I don't think they sold yet but go check it out.

I think you should research the injector issue. Sure the injectors can handle #24 but if the fuel pressure isn't there to begin with, why change. Why do you think you need more fuel. Don't do it because everyone else is. Are you running lean now? Detonation can be caused by other issues. Dyno your truck and check the air/fuel ratios then see. Bigger injectors does not always mean more gas especially if the PCM does not allow it. If you are set on 24#ers, change the fuel rails, fuel pump to match.

Which Eng. with some they are calabrated very close to the Air Flow this is why KB gives you a brand new MAF for the Blower to mangange the A/F Ratio very close.. Give Fastman a phone call and ask him what he thinks.. as well as Bob Kennedy Why we go to the bigger is better concept. But if you are not Flat on the top end leave well enought alone.. the system came with Aux Injectors I would believe to allow for this..

I just did some research on the web and noticed that most people went with the bigger injectors to prevent detonation. The powerdyne kit comes with an inline fuel pump for increased fuel pressure.

Does the PD system come with aux. injectors to richen it up you are adding a lot of air into the Cyl. you got to have more fuel. but not by changing all 8 injectors.. If others have a Det. problem I would suspect the system is not set up to begin with too much Boost or inlet charge too hot..

The 24lb's are a good investment. Last thing you want is to starve for fuel.

I run a ATI Procharger set-up on mine and as it does not come with auxillary injectors I now run 55lb injectors in it to handle the increased fuel needs.

I have the vortech sq trim, 8# boost and it is equiped with 2 extra injectors to satify its thrist. The little detonation I get is from HOT air, which will be solved by the installation of the intercooler coming soon! It ran a little lean at 5200 rpms which is faster than I care to go on busy sreets here in california, Now the track is another story
