I emailed and asked Paxton about their system Part number 1201216 and if it would bolt up to a 2004 dakota 4.7. I think it was Micah that emailed me back, but not sure. The email is on my home computer. Well anyways the person that responded told me to get with Scott at..I want to say it was MS or GS motorsports. They have apprently been able to install a Paxton on a 2004 with the 4.7. I plan on calling the Motorsports folks, and finding out for sure if this is true. Are there any other superchargers that can be installed on a 04 4.7. KenneBell is one right? any others? I been looking at the different sites, but haven't seen anything that specificly states 2004 Darango/Dakota with the 4.7. I'm sure I've just missed them. We'll see.

I would not recomend the Paxton as you have to drill a return oil line in your oil pan.. and it uses eng oil to lube gears and bearings that spin 20,000 RPM...not a good Idea ,the Kenne Bell which I have on my 4.7 has it`s own Lubercation system.. It comes with everything you need. Thermostat 180*
Spark Plugs" Iridum" Spelled wrong you know me.
cold air induction system
K&N FilterCharger..
MAF Caled to the Blower.
Belt.. Pullies.. Idlers
Brackets
all wiring harness pre made
Optizimer II
hose`s
Clamps
RTV and Tie-wraps.
I mean everything.
the Blower is already mounted to a new intake Manifold
After I finished the job and looked it all over, I turned the key it started with the first turn..
The only draw back for the system is the cost.. this because of all you get. you distroy nothing in the instalation you can put it back to factory very easy less time than instalation

Thanks for the input Buck. I asked a local performance tuner about the different SCers out there. When I asked him about the KenneBell. He said it was good, just from his experaince that they get too hot and the performance "curve" drops off really fast. I asked about Paxton and the other styles and he didn't have any "negitave" comments on them. I realize he is just one man, but he is one man that has seen hundreds if not thousands of vehicles with SCers on them. I realize the engine oil thing, but I'll be useing AMSOIL anyways with a by-pass system installed so I can do oil analysis on it to insure the system is good. Asked him about lag, not that noticable. Also rode in a Harley Davidson F-150 that was pushing 10 PSI of boost and I liked the way it felt. Matter of fact now that I think of it, that was the only time I've ever riden in a vehicle that had a SCer. As far as ease of uninstlling the system. Once its on it ain't comin off unless the truck is totalled or I get a new one (truck that is) so that isn't a "saling point" for me. Was looking and waiting for the Powerdyne system to come out, it is self-contained as well, but it seems that they are taking forever. I emailed them about 7 months ago and they told me they would have the system out in 3-4 months, yea right... Oil feed or self-contained system doesn't matter to me, I just want the damn thing...lol. The Paxton kit is a pain in the butt. There is zero tech support. I was missing pieces and the wiring diagrams were wrong. The Paxton produces more HP at high end than the Kenne Bell, but the Kenne Bell produces a lot more torque. I guess it depends on what you want.

Cool thanks for all the info. Has anybody heard anything about the Powerdyne system, or anything about Powerdyne at all good, bad, indifferent. Thanks for all the input.
