Message: Just to throw one more fly in teh ointment here. I have a single in dual out 50 series Flowmaster Delta Flow. My friend has the same only 40 series. In a side by side comparison, there is no difference in exterior sound levels. The only difference is the 40 has a more throaty sound and the 50 is a bit deeper. That is the only difference, just the tone. Volume is the same.

Message: Wow. I came around here looking for avis or wavs and I see the FUNNIEST stuff from Art and Aggie. Art even comes out and SAYS he is a sot. LOL! A buddy had a Dodge Dakota, he sold it about 3 months after he got it and bought a Impala SS. I wonder if he ran into Art, or Aggie...?
Great dialogue guys, keep it up. :-)

Message: I believe there was a question on how the flowmaster holds up in Canadian winters. Mine has only seen one winter but seemed to hold up quite well. The Force II system has a 50 series 2.5" in 3" out and tailpipe. I love the sound, not too loud at idle but lets everyone know you are around when you get on it.

Message: I love this discussion on mufflers!
I have tried dynomax super-turbos on several cars and found them to be too quiet. I have had 2 chamber flowmaster on a Mustang and found them to be satisfactoraly raspy and loud, but droney when cruising on the highway.
I also tried Magnaflows on a Grand Marquis, (also replacing the stock tail pipes and their resonators with regular tubing). These sound pretty good! Refined, yet loud. Really loud when you get on it.
Additionally, I have heard that Bassani supplies Ford with the special exhaust system used on the Bullitt Mustang. Can anybody confirm this? A friend has a Bullitt, and it has the best sounding exhaust I have ever heard! Loud, even when cruising, but not droney. Raspy and throaty as hell, it really rips when you get on it...
A great stock exhaust.
