a 2500hd vs. a CC dak?he has a nicer truck,but you would beat him.why the hell would you race?next thing im gonna see are two idiots in dump trucks racing,NO POINT!and the 4.8,5.3.and 6.0 are all very good engines they come alive in the aftermarket stuff.all those engine models are the "little brothers" of the LS-1.and alot of the performance parts are interchangable.
if you make it more fair,a CC dak with 4.7,and a 1500 reg cab chevy with 4.8 or 5.3,same gears,equally modded,the chevy will walk all over your dodge.im saying this after owning an 01 4.7 and an 02 r/t,my dad now drives the r/t and ive moved on to a 35th anniversary z28.
but if you want to be stupid and compare apples to oranges,i will race you in your CC 4x4 4.7 dak with my Z28.i will race you for titles how bout that?i will even give you a 1sec head start!

i dont really care about being a valued member of this board.mostly what i have used it for is searching trouble codes on the ODB2 b.s.for the daks ive had.some guys on here are actually quite helpful.alot of you go on and on about how your "incredible" dakotas will beat anything,then you make it a handicapp match.
and about the ZR1,those are very impressive,if you actually have one.i would love to see pics,awesome car.and i dont go bs-ing on the ls1 forums.on the boards i go to WE dont tolerate the "my d+ck is bigger than your d+ck" crap that runs rampant on this board.
ive met quite a few awesome people on here that actually know what they are talking about,so i honestly dont mean disrespect to everyone here.just the idiots who think their un to slightly modded trucks will blow anything off the road,you people know who you are!

what the hell makes me a chevy boy?just the fact that my primary driver is a Z28?the r/t is practically still mine,hell,i just put an FIPK kit on it!and the truck i owned before that was a dakota!
the only reason i spoke out about dodges in this post is that there are unfair comparisons being made.c'mon,a 2500 HD chevy thats probably loaded down with an extra 1000lbs. of equipment/tools,it is after all a WORK TRUCK.if you look back at other posts,i spend a good deal of time talking crap to the s-10 freaks who come on here and do the same thing.
i just hate it when people do that,whether its with chevy,dodge,or ford.in fact,the only thing i really like about chevy are the LS-1 and Ls-6 powerplants.so basically camaros/trans ams are the only thing chevy i like.if i needed another truck i would probably buy a dodge hd.and if i needed a regular car it would be a toyota.so call me camaro boy,dodge dork,or toyota turd,those will be acceptable.

This is part of why I commented, you don't have any evidence or any reason to state this other than that you are trying to start an argument on a Dodge board. my only evidence is ive had both a 4.7 and an r/t.i raced several different combinations of the chevys and gmcs,and fords.most of the gmcs were about even,most of the chevys won,and i dont think i ever got beat by a ford,except for a lightning or two.so sorry i didnt say it sooner,i was speaking from my own personal experience.
and what i said about racing my Z,that was intended to be sarcastic.i dont race trucks,unless i hear the nice sound of a cam or the whine of an scharger.i dont go around picking on stocker daks,s10s,or rangers.

i appreciate you listening and being pretty respectful.i usually dont post things like that but every once in a while i get peeved and have to say something jackass like that.i do still stick to the belief that a gm 4.8 or 5.3 will
beat a 4.7 dodge if you get the weight difference close.that DOESNT mean i like chevys.im keeping the r/t in the family and when i need another truck i will buy a ram 2500.i dislike almost every ford and chevy,excluding fbodies.im sorry if that makes me sound like a fanboy.

I drove a GMC with a 4.8 for about 4 or 5 months for work. It had NO torque out of the hole, then wound up after 3K RPM's pretty good to were it FELT fast. More like a V-Tec or somehting LOL. Because it couldn;t pull mild hills unless you popped it out of OD, etc.
My 4X4 4.7 would smoke it.
Just tonight on my way home some guys in what looked to be a 4 door 2500 must have heard my flowmaster cuz they took off at a light. SO at the next light I hit it and pulled their ass a few truck lengths by 60. Then I let off (in the city you know) and they must have been some Ricers driving their dad's truck cuz they did the Ricer fly by and stayed on it till like 80 on the city street!
Then at the next light, same thing. I walked them and again I clearly let off at 60 slowing to 50 and then they come flying by me all crazy and sh*t.
Clearly I beat them so I don't get the Ricer fly by stuff. Plus we all know stock to stock Chevy has a speed limiter 15MPH lower than ours. So why race any faster in the city?
The truck was a V8 (2500) and could have been either a 5.3 or 6.0. Didn't matter. it was toast so bad.

that is stupid how people do those "fly bys" when they lose,but how many lbs. does a big 2500 chevy have on you?like 1500 or even more?not really a great comparison.a guy i know has a 1500 ex. cab chevy 5.3 and he keeps up with my r/t.and i know my r/t wil beat a 4wd 4.7.if his truck was a reg cab i would imagine with the weight difference he would yank me pretty good.

not trying to be chevyboy.if anything,with the story of the 5.3 vs. my r/t im really just sharing some disgust.it sucks that my "performance" truck can be outdone by a base model v8 big chevy.and for the record,again,
I DONT PARTICULARLY LIKE CHEVY TRUCKS I JUST KNOW THAT THEY ARE FASTER THAN DODGE TRUCKS.
excluding s-10s,colorados.they are definately slower than dodges.at least you have that to be happy about.unless of course,the s-10 has a 350sb or a 400,then goodnight!

My brother has an extended cab 1500 Silverado 4x4 with the 5.3 and my QuadCab 4.7 4x4 walks all over it. Both stock. Just stating the facts.

the full size chevy is already heavier than your truck,then add 4wheel drive,yeah you will win.youre the 50th person(exaggerated)on this post to compare yourself to a truck that outways the sh@t out of you.of course youre gonna win.go find you a reg cab 2wd 5.3 and see the results,not very pretty,ive been there done that.im amazed that you all find this many idiots to race you in their tanks.
