Message: YES!! that sounds awesome!! I just wish that exhaust wasn’t so expensive... my 4.7L, has a dynomax super turbo on it now. It’s WAY too quiet for my liking. Nothing the GSM exhaust couldn’t cure :-P

Message: Not bad. True Duals rule.
2001. SO that means you had the dual pre cats???
Not so on my 2003. I only got the single cat. Means I got to go buy some high flow cats before I run true duals. I sure love my Flowmaster 40 series for now, even tho it's a single in/out. It just came out nice tho.

Message: That kit is way to expensive for me. Its nice but Scott quoted me $865 for the all the piping in stainless minus the mufflers but with the cats. $865 without the mufflers!! I just wanted the piping so I could use magnaflows instead if spintechs. I like a quieter muffler. Why do people jack the price up on stainless so much when its really not that expensive. Aluminum costs more than stainless does.

Message: Ditto on the dual pre-cats (and no main cat) for the GSM true duals.
Ditto on the cost complaint. Until DC puts the 4.7 in more autos, we are going to have to deal with single-source aftermarket (aka no competition).
Ditto on the high-pitched spintechs. They are not making my truck sound throaty at high RPMs.
I have yet to get the emissions tested, but that day is quickly approaching.

Message: $800+ F*ck that. I'm going to make my own duals as soon as I get some high flow cats.
I heard that if I go to this ricer speed shop they have here in Phx (heaven forbid I have to step foot in there!) that they have high flow cats in stock for like $40 each.
I'll go to the muffler shop and buy a few lengths of 2 1/2 pipe or so and some elbows. That should cost me about $40. Two new flowmasters will be around $75 each unless I just buy another 3" one like what I have but that's pretty damn big for duals!
I can cut and weld it altogether and make some elbows as needed. It's fun to make it form scratch as long as you're in the mood and have all day. I'm tempted to make some headers too :-)

Message: Ditto on the $800 "f". The wrench monkeys that installed my "bolt on" exhaust bent and welded their own pipes into the system to make it work around the 4X4. For what it's worth, use the stock pre-cats and forget the "high flow" cats. The last O2 sensor in the system is after the pre-cats and the computer won't know that there isn't a 3rd. No need to waste money on high flows.
Cut the pipes before the "Y", splice in parallel straight pipes into the 2 mufflers, using the old stock hangers to mount your flowmasters. Thinking back, I should have done this and saved an arm, leg, and an entire Monday.
