Yeah it will fit and you will have to run a high octane or additive, unless you don't put the performance program in.(which doesn't make sense)

Remember to return your programmer to SuperChips and have them reset the VIN register.
The programmer is user specific and logs to the first VIN it sees and can't be used for any other vehicle (except for diagnostics). Or at least so says the instructions on mine.
BTW, I'm very happy with the improvements by my SuperChips programmer on my '00 5.9 QC. Enough to made towing easier and a slight improvement in gas mileage. (Doesn't quite offset the higher fuel cost but worth it in my final analysis).

DOC, the superchip only stores the vin that is being used when you program a vehicle. should you return that vehicle to stock, the superchip also becomes unlocked and can be used on another (example: you own more than one dodge truck and decide to unprogram the one and use it to program the other)

I e-mailed Superchips to clarify.
The information I was given indicated a VIN locking to the programmer, but this would not be the first time I was mis-informed.
Might be the stock program has to be reinstalled prior to use in another vehicle, although I recall the display readout saying something like 'VIN recognized' when I plug it in to play.
I'll post Superchips response when it is received.

Make sure they have a receipt from an AUTHORIZED DEALER (read not some group buy) so you can get an update should you need one to even use the thing. Hate to see you get burned, I've played this game twice with these stupid chips units.
