Subject: HELP! Harland Sharp's Installed IP: Logged
Message: HELP!! I just installed the 1.7 Harland Sharp Roller Rockers and now my engine will turn over, but it won't start. The coil is getting power, the battery is fine and all the connections seemed to be hooked up. I have work later today, so if anyone can give me a quick answer, that would be great.

Message: Pull the spark plugs and check the compression. Sounds like they are too tight, preventing the valves from closing.

Message: The Roller Rockers are too tight? How do you check the compression? Sorry for all the questions, but thanks for your reply.

Message: If the rocker arms are tightened down too much, it will hold the valves open. No compressioin=no fire.
The Magnum does not have an adjustable valve train. So if you're not getting compression, you'll have to shim them out a tad. Not a big deal, it's done all the time.
Make sure you check compression first, though. You wouldn't want to tear in to it again, only to discover you forgot to plug something in.
