 Subject: Whats faster

Do you guys know whats going to get my Dak off the line faster - O/D on or O/D off? Not really sure whats the best situation to use each mode in. I have the 4.7 auto with the exhaust and intake done - Now I just want to make sure Im utilizing it to its fullest. Any help would be great.

The same. OD doesn't kick in until faster speeds anyways.

Your truck probably came with 3.55, if you are really hurting
then go into the 4s but your mpg will suffer and your top speed
on highways will suck.

Yes you do need it on unless towing something heavy. Why, less rpms on engine, longer engine life and better mileage.

Some have claimed thre's higher line pressure in the tranny with the OD off. The 45 RFE is very different from the others, I'm not convinced there's a need to turn the OD off while towing with this combo. Mine only goes into OD in low load situations (like downhill) when towing a heavy load.

my truck seems faster with the od on, itll spin faster off the line, and when its off and im doing 55 or so and give it gas and hit the switch to turn it on, the rpm's shoot up faster. you would figure it would be the other way around...oh yeah, i got a 99 cc r/t
