Correct me if I'm wrong.............but, for 1/4mi times....................isn't torque better than HP? Torque's what makes you move off the line anyways.

Yeah torque is the force that causes the tires to turn and thus gets you out of the hole better but if you have no horsepower you wont overcome the drag and thus will have a really nice 60ft but an 80mph speedtrap at the finish. Well not quite but it takes both hp and torque to win in drag racing.
