Subject: Headers IP: Logged
Message: I have been wanting to build my own custom exhaust for a while now and have been looking for a set of headers that are long-tube, equal length and are symetrical (meaning the right and left headers follow the same paths and are the same lengthes. I was considering the hooker super comps, but then found out the right side was longer than the left. I have also been lookin at the Mopar performance headers, but they dont appear to be equal length.
If anybody has any suggestions as to a set of headers that meet my parameters, please post the info for the headers. Thanks

Message: get the pph headers, there the same as the mopars but without the mopar badge and you save like 100 bucks or so. get them from krc, these things rock! i got them on my 99 r/t with a bunch of other mods... trust me they are definatelly worth the money! they have the biggest collecters over all too.

Message: long tube headers are designed for engines that consistantly run at speeds over 4500 rpm all day everyday, or are race only engines, do you run that fast all the time? or race that bad boy a lot? if not, short tube is the way to go.

Message: Well, its not necessarily the long tubes i am after, but mainly equal length and symetry. The shortys would be fine, if they were equal length, but i havent seen any that were.
The only reason i wanted long tubes were for the performance and i heard that long tube headers improve low end torque.
