Message: Well a Lightning is about $30,000 and a R/T is about $24,000. you put $3000 in a supercharger on a R/T and it will bust a lightning any day of the week. I have a R/T all motor, even when my truck was about stock with only a K&N I raced my friend in his 99 Lightning and he was about 1 car lenght back at 50. I think it was in like 01 when they fixed that on the lightnings. But I would much rather have an R/T because I live in the mountians where there are only curvy 2 lane roads R/T holds the curves alot better.

Message: Yeah maybe a 99 Lightning. The 01s and up are alot faster.
BS flag on beating a Lightning with just a K&N. Maybe you got a big jump or he spun.

I checked out a bunch of dealerships around my house and none have them and either lightnings are there special dealerships that have them. Is it even worth looking for them or should i just buy a faster sports car. whats the advantages of fast trucks versus fast cars. Just a question i always wondered thanks.

Message: You can put more things in a truck and possibly tow a little bit as well (depending on suspension mods). Thats about the only advantage to a fast truck over a car. If you just want to go fast get a car, I however like trucks and like going fast so I combined both. It'll never be as fast as a car with the same drivetrain but I like it a whole lot more.

Message: This is too funny. A R/T with nothing more than a k&n beats a 99 Lightning up to 50mph? I see this happening IF the L driver was a complete moron. Believe me, I love my R/T and I know damn well that it can ruin the day of many cars out there but a Lightning? Sure.........

Message: JC....When you consider yourself lucky enough to drive the worlds fastest production trucks (04 SRT 10 RAM, 02 Lightning, 92 Syclone, 01 R/T, 99 lightning)then you can say that I am filling you full of crap. Do you want me to give you a video? I have about 30 witnesses too. Well the driver of the Lightning is a Mexican but hes a citizen so he should know how to drive a truck.

Message: If you want to beat a lightning you will not do it with a stock r/t and that is a FACT! The lightning is a much faster (and uglier) vehicle. Chevrolet has nothing to even bring to the contest! The silverado SS with 345hp and a pricetag of nearly $45,000 it would only keep up with a standard hemi ram for nearly the price of the $46,000 srt-10 ram which is documented as the fastest production pickup on earth, that is, until the new lightning comes out and spurs dodge on to build a faster one while chevy just puts another 3/4 ton truck engine into a 1/2 ton truck and puts a huge price tag on it hoping a few die hard hillbilly bowtie boys will shell out the bucks for it! Which they will "cause its a chevy", poor saps.

What in the world does the guy's heritage have to do with anything? If he is American, what does it matter? What's your heritage? It doesn't matter what your heritage is, right? So why mention his. There are enough folks in the world that dislike us, we don't need to add to it by describing and separating each other based on our heritage. We all have ancestors that came from other countries at some point in time; no one is native to this land other than the native Americans (trace them far back enough and they came from other lands). Americans of Mexican heritage (I don't put the heritage before American, for example Mexican-American) do have a bigger hurtle to get over when it comes to total assimilation into mainstream American culture (vernacular, dress, music and so on) because Mexico is so close, not like those of European heritage for example whose mother country is well removed. But consider this, the middle culture, a sub culture that has developed here that is not truly mainstream American but also not Mexican, is as American as the little Italys, German towns and China towns that exist and are embraced all over our nation.
