Subject: Check Engine Light after Intake Install IP: Logged
Message: WTF? After installing a homebrew intake in my 2004 QC 4.7L, I got a Check Engine Light. Has anyone had the same experience as me and/or know how to fix it? The only thing I can think of is maybe it is because of the relocated IAT sensor. But in my year/model I had no choice but to relocate it because it was in the stock air hat. Also after installing it I removed the negative battery cable and turned the key for 30 seconds. Should I try this again? If I took it to the stealer, do you think they would fix it, or do you think they would b/s me and try to void my warranty?

Message: Sorry P 0113 is "Intake Air Temp Circuit High Input ". I couldn't imagine I created an open circuit when I spliced two little wires, considering I do a lot of wire repair on the B-2. I'll Have to get the good ol' multimeter out tomorrow.

Message: Post closed. When I went to JB Weld the IAT sensor, I glued it to far into the intake. I ended up having to chip away some of the excess glue to get a good connection between the sensor and wiring harness. Note to self and others...Leave a little bit extra surface area between your pipe and sensor when making a homebrew.
