 Subject: towing power

I have a 1988 Dak 4x4 with a 3.9 mag. 5 speed manual tranny. What would be the best thing to do to set it up for towing a camper? Should I look towards an engine swap for more horse power and if so what can I go to that would interchange with the least amount of major changes?

You should have enough power to tow but you need to add a oil cooler and try not to let the engine stain too much in high gear.

Thanks Ken...wasn't sure just what I could pull with it and also it being a short bed..didn't know if that made a difference..
