Subject: Why are Powerdyne chargers badly rated? IP: Logged
Message: Is the qualty really so bad or is just the power increase poor (I could live with that)?
Or will a Powerdyne charger probably kill my engine?

Message: They don't quite put out as much boost as advertised and on other applications (Mustangs) they have a problem with belt breakage.

Message: Junk bearings are used, belts constantly break (they ride right off of the sprocket all the time too), they certainly deserve the lowest rating possible. If they were ever to be "lifetime" warranted, that shop would go right out of business from all the returns for repairs.

Message: Hey guys, does anyone know where i can get a supercharger for a R/T on the lower end of the price scale, I'm looking to buy one but I dont want to loose a lot of money just to buy one.
I know KRC Performance has them for a good deal but they are still alittle on the pricy side.
Any help would be hot.

Message: Nothing wrong with a Powerdyne as long as you know what you are getting. It's fine at 6#, 9# is starting to push it, and anything above that is going to eventually kill it.
The bearing are not junk, almost all the supercharger companies use the same bearings. If you don't get greedy and over rev the thing it will be O.K.
The belts you are talking about are they the internal ones or the drive belt? Because I haven't had any problems at all.
I have the GSMotorsport kit and it is the best thing I installed short of the Powerdyne it's self. And get a By-Pass valve.
