The Rarest R/T ( If I'm thinking right, is the 98 R/T CC in Deep Amethyst) there were only maybe 200 or less made....once again, IF I'm thinking right...

Opps I was wrong, the 98 intense Blue was the lowest production number, at only 32 followed by the Ametyhst at 52, then black at 74, with red being 93, all are reg cabs.... ... WHERE did you find those production numbers for 2000? I have an 2001 and would like to find those, maybe where you got yours might have mine...

A year after i bought my 03 R/T i went to the dealer to get info on production numbers for it. He called me back a few days later with info stating that ther were only 493 R/T's made in 03.They just used up what parts they had left to make them and that was it. How true is this ?! I dunno

YOUR WRONG!!! in 2000 there were 841 RC built....what color is yours? the only one not verified yet is 3's on Solar Yellow... I'm still trying to figure out what this is doing posted under "performance" too....

To 493... people are still trying to verify the production #'s for 2001 thru 2003... your's is the last year of the R/T, maybe the dealer is right... I'd hang onto it just cause its the last year of production.... there is talk of the R/T Dak coming back in 05, with a supercharged hemi, dunno how serious dodge is about it, but its claimed to be over 400hp! its gonna have a "new" body style too, i think from what I saw it was pretty ugly compared to the current body style....

This is my second R/T, the first one I bagged the potatoes out of, it had 126k miles when I sold it.This one barely gets used 3800miles on it in a year and a half mostly due to the fact that I am always on the road working.This one is going to sit. Hopefully what I am told is true regarding the "493" number I was given,if so it could be more limited due to the stampede package that came on some R/T's midway through the year.

Slow Guy, I have a good friend that has a 2000 R/T CC with the 40/20/40 bench seat. It came that way when he bought it new.

I think he was thinking a 'true' bench seat, after 99 they all came with a split bench, which more resembles bucket seats....I was under the same impression from the way he worded it, "that he ordered it with a bench seat"... he wouldn't of had to order it with a bench, since they come with the split bench always.

I followed up with the dealer aswell for my 03 rt and i was given the same production number for the truck. 493 it is. I wasnt thinking though... i should have asked for 01 and 02 models aswell. Any 01 and 02 owners its easy, phone a helpfull dealer and you shoukld get your answer asap.

No I ordered mine with the bench. Yeah it's a 40/20/40 split, but I didn't want the console(it,s kinda useless) and this way my wife can sit next me.I've even put both the kids car seats in front with me for a week. Our third daughtter is due in a few weeks, so this year it won't even see the road. Alot cheaper on insurance that way!Diapers cost$$$ So when I take it out of storage next spring it'll still only have 20,000kmon it.

anyway you go about it, almost all R/T's are "rare" in theory, since of limited production, but truely RARE is like a 67 gt40, or a R/T charger... wait a few decades, it might be considered rare then...but as long as there are so many R/T's its just another R/T

Hi All
I was wondering if i can get some help I have a 93 RC 5.2. When I bought the truck in 95' It had header already installed. When it came time to Smog, the service guy would always bring up the headers if they are California legaland if I had a C.A.R.B. # for them. The services guy like my truck so much that they would let me slide, so I always passed the visual inspection. Now, I starting to drive the truck for letting it sit unregistered for 5 years. I need the CARB # for what I believe are Doug Thorely Headers. They look real close to the Mopar peformance ones but they are Chromed finish and have a 3 bolt flange.
I tried looking on DT website and I doesnt have a listing.

I've modified my R/T, but I KEEP all the original parts, that way, IF in thirty years when they become a "classic" and are actually considered rare, I can maintain the original look.... it's too easy to do addons that can easily be swapped back for original parts, such as doing the FIPK to gain 20 horses while keeping the original in great condition in the FIPK box, to let a perfectly good truck not reach its full potential... THere are lots of un moded R/T's out there, and ALL of them are selling for LESS than modified ones....just look at the ebay prices, and which ones are getting the most bids....
