Message: Ok I got Flowmaster 40 series dual on my 00 4.7L club cab. That was my first basic mod. I now want to go for some more fuel efficency and HP at the same time. I am planning on going with K&N but I dont know if I should just do drop in or a more advanced system. My truck is under warranty through first choice. I dont want to void that. Any thoughts??

Message: First of all, i don't think you have to worry about voiding your warrenty with an intake, unless you screw something up. To void the warranty they have to PROVE that it either caused the problem or an effect of you making this change. You have to make sure that you buy something that doesn't void your warranty, but to be honest I can't think of any intake that would void a warrany. if a service center tells you that it will or has voided your warranty, have them put that in writing, and if they won't have a talk with their service manager. It is against the law to do this. If they put it in writing send it to the company that you bought your intake from and they should help you. This is just incase. But to answer your question. I think that many people here use the K&N FIPK. I personally use Airaid. I like it, but some others will suggest a "home brew" intake. Do a search of directions on how to do this. Having a "home brew" MIGHT void your warranty. Hope this helps out some and I didn't confuse you more than help.

Message: Thanks any help I appreciate greatly....out of curiosity what kind of differences could I expect between a drop in and a FIPK?
