I am planning to have my lockright removed soon. I doubt I will replace it with another lockright unit. Instead I am looking for other options such as a Trac Lock from geniune gears.
Does anyone have one of these? How much was your install? the link is below.

you go offroading? a traction lock is best for that, if you're staying on road, you'd etter think about getting a limited slip, their better in wet conditions, less harsh, and provide better traction through turns..

I am running a Dana Trak-Lok in mine on the street with no problems.
PS: The Trak-Lok is a limited slip.

I have a 00 RC 4.7 w/ a mopar Trak-Lok differential and stock 3.55 gears. No problems and its been 30k miles since the install. Just be careful driving in the rain, that rear end will get out from under you!

thanks whitedakota2... I wasn't too sure, I thought the Trac lok was similar to a Detroit locker.... I've heard it both ways, so... thanks for setting me straight.

I have a locker now, so I am used to throttle compensation in turns. I don't mind a locker for the street and occasionally I do offroad.
The powertrax has just proven itself to be a piece. There customer Service isn't too great either.
