Message: How're those michellin's for performance? I've roasted the goodyear RSA's just coming off lights.. I hate fishtailing, and these RSA's are prone to doing that......I;m wondering how bd it's gonna be after I put my M1 intake on, with all my other mods that should put me up to about 320hp.
The Scorpions are supposed to be better, thats why Dodge put 'em on the SRT-10, but i wouldn't trust those for "winter" use, but I live in Miami, so I am, so far, siding with those...

Message: I checked prices; the Pirellis are $144 each at the Tire Rack, while the Goodyear Wrangler F1s are $292 each from a Goodyear store (Tire Rack doesn't carry the size). So, I can either get a set of tires, or a set of tires, a new exhaust system, and a limited-slip rear for the same price. HMMMM.

Message: The Michelins hook up real well. Actually, I was put on to them by an R/T owner who hated the traction of the RSA's, but liked the Michelins. I believe they are the same tires that Duner uses on his turbo 4.7 5-speed that clocks 12.3 sec. 1/4 mi. They run around $155-$175 each.

Message: You're right about the Goodyear RSAs. I smoked 'em off the rims. They're crap. Since then, I've had both the Scorpions and Michelins Pilot LTXs on my '01 R/T rc. I definitely recommend the Michelins. You'll be impressed with the traction performance. And they work incredible in wet road conditions. Do your self a favor and get the Pilots Man.

Message: I am running a set of Falkien 275/50s. They ride nice and grip fairly well. Speedo is right on too.

Message: Jag, how much were those Falkens, and where did you get them? Inquiring minds want to know.

Message: They came from Tire Kingdom. They were put on the truck right before I bought it. I can't find the tires at tirerack.com. They must not carry Falkien. Try a search on line. The prices were pretty reasonable for the Falkiens I hear...

Message: Just today I bought a set of Nitto NT450 275/50/17. They seem to be pretty good after the 20 miles I've driven on them :) They certainly look much better than the Toyos I had previously. Not to mention they are quieter. The Nitto sidewalls are much stiffer too.
The Toyos were Proxes S/T 255/60/17. They just don't look right on an R/T. They are too tall and skinny. Dry traction was average, wet traction sucked but was not unsafe. They are very soft sidewalled tires and you can't run a lot of pressure in them or they wear unevenly. Ride is pretty nice though.
Before that I had the RSA's of course. You all know what RSA stands for... really sucks ass
